I was told that the only way I could go to statium of fire was to get a date. I didn't think this would be too bad since I had one in mind...but when that fell through I still kept my cool. I moved on to another guy that I have been interested in...that was a flop. So I moved to another who I found to be handsome and fun to be around...nothing. I continued on this path for hours and nothing came from it. Bummed I told a fellow Co worker my troubles...her solution was to go with her brother in law. She gave me his number and told me to call him. However at this point I was ready to put in the towel so I didn't call.
I felt bad later when I was asked why I didn't call so I did and now we are going out! Wish me luck!!
I wish there was a frequent fliers card for blind dating! I'm pretty sure I'd have a trip to Hawaii paid for by now.

Reason?
I know that all things happen for a reason. So what is the meaning behind me running into a man who I haven't seen in 4 years. Not only that, but I see him everywhere! But before you all get excited he is always on a date or with some girl?
Mixed signals
I know that guys always say that girls send mixed signals...there is some truth to that; but guys need to see that the door swings both ways. The other day a guy who I think is cute, showed up to a party with his beard shaved. Note that I am not a fan of facial hair (scruff that's another thing) but on him I liked it. His shaved face was much better though!!! I told him this and he smiled and said "I'm glad you like it because I heard you only dated guys who are clean-shaven." Wanting to make sure if what I was hearing was right I ask "so you shaved for me?" Smiling again he says "yes." Excited I begin to ask him more about his week. He tells me that he went to a blow out sale at a local store and that I need to go. I tell him I would love to go and to have him give me a call when he goes again. We continue our conversation and then 5 minutes later he grabs my arm and says " you know what (male name) is going tomorrow you should call him and go with him." Figuring that he is just trying to be helpful I aim for another chance at spending time with him; but every idea I come up with he either says no or passes me to another person.
Was the shaving a joke? Maybe but the next day he came and sat next to me in class and told me how nice I looked and talked to me the whole time. At the end of class with me standing next to him he asked another girl out..

He has to have a sense of humor...
So I have a little crush and have been amazed how much I like this guy...but the thing that stopped me in my tracks was the fact that his first name is my dad's and his last matches a past love...two names are ones I don't care to hear and he has them both.

Sleep?
So the other night I had gotten home from a long trip and my friends had invited some people over to watch a movie. We were all stuffed on the couch when my eyes began to get heavy. My head began to fall to one side and it kept going until it found something to rest on. It wasn't until minutes later when I realized that I was resting on my neighbor, a good looking man. It was pleasant but once the movie ended he jumped up and left...meaning anyone?

The Hand Off
Okay so many of you are wondering what ever happened to the "3 Dates Man" or the Waterboy! Well he is still pretty wonderful but the other day I realized I hadn't seen or heard from him in well, a long time. I was lucky enough to come in contact with some great tickets to a sporting event...front row baby. Taking matters into my own hands I called him up and asked if he wanted to go. His reply "Oh that would be great but I have a study group tonight. You should call and ask this other guy." Yes he handed me off to another guy, I may not be super smart but doesn't that point to the fact he isn't interested? It's an idea though, if I don't want to go out with someone I'm going to recommend another date for him. See I learn something from everyone!

All I want...
Okay so after years of dating I think I can finally say just what we as women want: Someone who thinks we are worth their time. I think I'm pretty cool so why do guys make me feel as though it isn't that cool to go out on a date with me. I know many of my dates are set ups but is it too much to ask for him to let me know when and where our date will be?
I finally got asked out...no blind date! We talked about going out Friday, but because of some scheduling I needed to change it to another day and he agreed that Thursday would be better. He told me he would call me later with the details but to save Thursday night. Thursday came and I realized that I had no idea what was going on, so I called and he told me that we were still going out but he would call me later. The day turned into night and I still had not received any information about the night. Hours later he called and invited me to a wedding and asked that I met him there. After fighting myself, I agreed and went to met him. Arriving I discovered that I was over dressed and that he purposely set me up. Yes, he really did treat me like nothing because he wanted to see if I would come. GAMES! I hate games. Life is too short to play relationship games, if I wasn't interested I wouldn't have gone; all I got out of this was that he didn't take our date seriously. He had asked me out remember, so if he liked me why did he feel the need to make me feel like something in the far corners of his mind?
I'm not saying I wanted him to love me from first sight but at least see me as a person who deserved to be respected. I mean it when I say I want someone to be honest with me...if he didn't have time or didn't want to go out just tell me! Don't string me on and make me feel like I'm not worth your time.
